The Arcadia Area Historical Society (AAHS) Museum is a multigenerational and interactive experience for everybody to find something they enjoy. The museum has the area’s largest displays honoring local veterans, and Native American artifacts. The museum features a wide range of displays covering the Arcadia Area history, from mammoths to businesses and schools. The museum also features a large genealogical research library, where you can discover information about your ancestors. Do you like to be hands on? You can try out our antique accordion, our manual typewriter (explain to your kids or grandkids what that is), our foot operated sewing machine, and the corn counter. The AAHS is honored to maintain the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church as its museum. The building contains beautiful artifacts, including the original stained glass windows, statuary, and architectural details. The historical Clock Tower bells toll the hour and plays a musical selection. Musical selections are changed on a regular basis, and it’s always fun to hear what song is playing each hour. The AAHS Museum honors our veterans and we have a number of displays celebrating the veterans from our area. Come in and honor and celebrate our veterans and then further your appreciation for our veterans at Memorial Park and the Soldier’s Walk. Our displays change often, and we look forward to your visit to see what’s new!
