The scenic landscapes of Trempealeau County are perfect for exploring by horseback.
The Trempealeau County Horse Trail connects to Pietrek Park and is located along the beautiful Trempealeau River in the central part of the county. This trail features areas to stop and rest while taking in the natural sounds and sights of the trail. There is also a 140-by-300-foot horse arena at Pietrek Park that can be rented for horse activities when it’s not in use by local 4-H Clubs.
The Buffalo River State Trail is also open for horseback riding when there is not enough snow cover for a groomed snowmobile trail. Horseback riders need a state trail pass to use the trail.
