Visit Strum, a friendly community along the Buffalo River in northern Trempealeau County. The area was originally settled as a trading post in the mid-1800s by Norwegian immigrants who were reminded of the rolling hills and deep valleys of southern Norway.

Strum is home to 40 acres of parkland and facilities for softball, volleyball, and pickleball. Crystal Lake is a popular spot for sailing, kayaking, and canoeing (no-wake motorboats are also allowed) and is famous for its strikingly clear water—it’s a great spot to watch the sun rise. Other recreational options include golfing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and hunting.
